Lightboxes

(Go to MyLightboxes page)

On this page:

Lightboxes allow you to select images and organise them into custom groups. The My Lightboxes page allows you to view and manage your Lightboxes. You can create more than one Lightbox and give each one its own name. This is designed to help you work on several briefs/issues at once and if more than one person is using the login.

Viewing and selecting lightboxes

Lightboxes are accessed by clicking on My Lightboxes on the left under your Account name on the left. Clicking on any image in the Lightbox will open up the image’s preview window.

The currently selected Lightbox is displayed but other Lightboxes can be viewed by selecting from the drop down list to the left of the search bar.

Current Lightbox

This is the Iightbox which is visible when you go to the My Lightboxes page. You can change this using the drop down list on the left of the search bar.

Creating a new client lightbox

There are two routes to creating a new Lightbox. You can either create a new Lightbox then select images to add to it, or you can select the image(s) first then choose to add them to a new Lightbox (see Adding images to a lightbox below).

To create a new Lightbox before selecting images to add to it:

  • Click on the Manage Lightbox link from within any lightbox.
  • Click on the New button.
  • Add lightbox details.
  • Click on Save.

The new lightbox will automatically become the current lightbox.

Adding images to a lightbox

When viewing search results, all image selections or all images in a selection:

  • Select an image's checkbox.
  • Either:
    • Choose a lightbox to add it to, from the adjacent lightbox drop down list,
  • Or:
    • Enter a name for a new lightbox in the box provided.
  • Click on the Add button.

Images can also be added to a lightbox from within a preview window.

Moving images between lightboxes

On the My Lightboxes page, you can move any image from the current Lightbox to another Lightbox. To do this:

  • Select the image's checkbox (you can select more than one at a time).
  • Selecting the desired destination lightbox from the drop down list adjacent to the Move selected to lightbox: label.
  • Click on the Move button.

Removing images from lightboxes

  • Select the image's checkbox (you can select more than one at a time).
  • Click on the Remove Selected button.

Managing Lightboxes

When you are on the My Lightboxes page, you can go to the Lightbox Management page by clicking on the Manage Lightboxes link . From the Lightbox Management page, the client can:

  • Edit the lightbox name
  • Add notes
  • Remove the lightbox (the images will still be available for adding to other lightboxes).
  • Set the lightbox as the current lightbox.
  • Add a New lightbox.

When the desired changes have been made, click on the Save button if neccessary.

Request Price

Price requests can only be made from a lightbox, so an image will need to be added to a lightbox before a price can be requested for it. See Request a price for an image on the My Orders help page for more information.

Request a Medium Low Res file

Medium low res requests can only be made from a lightbox, so an image will need to be added to a lightbox. Click on Request price, you will then see an option to request a medium low res at the top next to the image Ref. Tick this box and an order will be made to our sales team. A nominal fee will then be set for the download by our sales team. Once you have received notification of this you can download the low res.
